Admission Requirements


University’s Requirements

Passed in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with FIVE (5) credits (Grade C) including Malay Language.

Specific Requirements

1) Fulfilled University’s general requirement and obtained at least a Grade C in any ONE (1) of the following subjects:

-Chemistry
-Physics
-Biology
-Science
-Applied Science

b) Obtained Grade C in Mathematics

c) Obtained Grade C in TWO (2) other subjects

d) Passes at least Grade E in English Language

(Priority is given to the applicant who obtained Grade C in Biology)

Program Aims


A policy program in the field of sustainable fisheries. To produce graduates who are competitive and able to provide the knowledge and educational infrastructure that can be used to disseminate and apply innovative knowledge . To be a catalyst for the development of human capital and operation sustainable environment. Produce qualified graduates to pursue a degree at the University of Malaysia Terengganu or other institution of higher learning.

Learning Outcomes


At the end of this program, graduates are able to:

  • Apply the knowledge and practical skills in capture fisheries for the sustainable management of marine resources,
  • Communicate effectively and work in groups in carrying out activities related to commercial fisheries to support the development and growth of fisheries industry, especially in capture fisheries and aquaculture,
  • Think critically, solve problems and contribute effectively to support the development of fisheries industry, especially in capture fisheries and aquaculture,
  • Master ICT and technical skills to develop modern fisheries sectors,
  • Possess characteristics of an agro-industry entrepreneur with exposure to economic and management skills through management and entrepreneurship courses as well as industrial training in governmental and public agencies,
  • Adopt ethical and social responsibilities towards the country and society,
    • Practice a highly professionalism attitude, possess an ethical and positive attitude, and ability to adapt to new working environment,
